The Women's 3/4 sleeve T is designed to look sporty while feeling sleek and feminine. This top is the first of it's kind - blended with 60% Bamboo and 40% Sorona (That's the fancy name Dupont gave Corn) - it is our softest feeling fabric yet! Allergies? Don't worry, because of the process, any allergies to Corn are not likely to have any reaction to this fabric.

DuPont produces Sorona (corn) renewably sourced polymer and has a global network of licensed fiber producers and mills that produce fiber and fabric made
with Sorona.

Sorona is a polymer - poly meaning more than one - Sorona is made with two ingredients.  The key (and green ingredient) is Bio-PDO - this is made through a fermentation process using a sugar - (right now this process is using corn sugar) - much like the way beer / wine are made. The sugar is obtained from number 2 dent field corn - not corn grown for human consumption and this corn is bought on the open market. Bio-PDO is produced in Loudon, Tennessee by DuPont Tate & Lyle BioProducts - a joint venture between DuPont and Tate & Lyle, a carbohydrate company that is based in the UK.

Triexta is the generic name - in the same vein as nylon, polyester, cotton,
linen, wool, etc. Sorona is a brand name. Sorona triexta in the fabric composition label - we have hangtags from Dupont can use as well.

Not all triexta is renewably sourced or offers environmental benefits. Sorona is the only environmentally smart triexta.  If you want to promote 'green' then Sorona should mention as that is the brand name for renewably sourced biobased triexta.

Dupont buy's corn on the open market - this is field corn used in industrial and animal feed applications, not sweet corn that humans buy and consume. We buy BAMBOO CORN yarn that has been spun from a certified spinning mill appointed by dupont.
